A question for all you imovie users out there who use isight. I have a 24inch white imac (the one without a glossy screen) and have been trying to record with isight for the imovie. However, whenever I play back what I have recorded, I get a loud constant beep running through the audio. I've read some posts where people say it happens when you open the isight, but this happens constantly throughout the recording.

I'm not sure if this is the mac's fault, or if its interference or something else.

Anyone else have this problem, or a solution to it?

Is it a beep beep beep beep or a beeeeeeeeeeep?

beep beep beep

repetitive, and there really close together.

You can still hear other sound, but its still there.

I tried it on a macbook 15 feet away, and the sound wasn't there.

Ah yeah. That is a problem with a lot of things...trying to remember...been a while since I had this problem...heh...you're using iMovie '08 and have it set to your internal mic?

Nope, imovie HD, but yeah, it is set to internal mic.

Okay, if it wasn't obvious I have a vague recollection of this. Unfortunately, I think I worked around it by using QuickTime Pro to record the audio. You could try using Garageband or Audacity. I don't have iMovie HD anymore so I can't really look for a way using it, unfortunately.
