isight camera makes my computer HOT!!

I was doing a little video chat in stickam and as soon as I turned on the isight, the computer fan kicked on full tilt. I'm talking jet engine status. Seems to only happen using the flash video chat, as it doesn't happen when using the camera in ichat.

I'm on a late 08 MBP and it's probably ~75*F in my room.

Is this normal?

Flash in general makes pretty much any Mac's fans go crazy. Same thing happens when viewing a video on YouTube, so it's completely normal.

Its not the camera, its the video generated with flash. Its mostly CPU intensive.

thank you for the responses, just wanted to double check. figured it was the flash that was doing it.
