iSight Camera Not Detected!

Help!!
My 1 week old MacbookPro's isight camera not working.
Done the trouble shoot suggested at apple's page, still not working.
Did not drop it, just ran software updates. Am i entitled to get 1 to 1 exchange?

Only one week old, most likely.

If you followed Apple's troubleshooting and tried using the camera with multiple apps and it still isn't working, it sounds like the problem is on their end.

Then can i exchange mine for a new 1 or change to another model? Mine is still brand new.

Where did you buy it from? Directly from Apple? Also, did the instructions have you reset the PRAM (by holding down the OPTION-COMMAND-P-R keys while your Mac was first starting to boot up)?

Did you mean the first start up or trying to reset the thing?

Anytime my iSight isn't detected, that's fixed it for me.

Go to: Apple menu>About this Mac>More Info>USB and see if the iSight camera is listed under one of the USB hub trees.

Bought it from an authorized apple reseller, tried your advice. It did nothing.

yeah i did, it dosent show it thr..

the last resort is to open it up and unplug/replug the isight connector . Have done this about half a dozen times when I put the 2nd HDD

Then the iSight is damaged and the computer will have to be sent out to repair.

iSight Camera not detected after Skype upgrade on macbook pro 10.4.11

I upgraded my Skype to the new version 2.8 which is supposed to be compatible with my macbook pro 10.4.11. I was able to get into skype after that but for some reason my iSight camera was not detected on skype. Then I checked my photobooth and it was not detected there either. What can I do??? Please help!
