Greetings!

I am having an issue with the iSight camera in this iMac(Early 2008). I am setting this machine to video during the evening. I am running this during the night, the lighting conditions are quite minimal; only dimmed kitchen lighting about 20 to 25 feet distant and I would guess about 30 degrees off axis. When I return to the machine the following morning to review, the results are a bit puzzling. The video functions seems to 'run' for about 2 seconds then freeze frames for the next seven to eight hours. At that time(7 to 8 hrs. later) video appears to capture me approaching the machine to stop recording.

So between the initiation of the recording and the ending later the next morning is the image of me sitting in front of the machine motionless. The size of file at the end is generally less than a megabyte.

There is video for the for about the first two seconds, and the last 30 seconds approximate, the remaining time Photo Booth seems to have stopped recording.

Any takers on this conundrum?
