iSight doesnt work until reboot

Hey, so I noticed that my new MBA (2012 i7) does the same thing that my old MBP (2010) does. I dont use isight a lot but every time I do I end up having to restart my mba. I usually dont restart my mba until I need to so it stays running for weeks at times. What happens is that the iSight camera doesn't get detected by any apps at all (skype, google video, photobooth etc). A simple restart fixes it but I'd rather not restart every time I need to use it. Anyone know why it does this?
