Hi

Is the iSight firewire 6 pin? I dont know how to find out! I was looking through the Apple pages to see how I transfer my files from my old Mac to my new Mac and thats what it says I need, so I just wondered if I can use my iSight one? Will it work?

I will be looking to transfer my iTunes music library and a few documents.

Thanks
Scot

As far as I know, yes. The 6-pin delivers the bus power that the iSight needs. The Apple Stores should know more.

Yep, the isight cable is a standard firewire, which is what you need for transfering files between macs. Assuming both of your have firewire ports, plug the cable in between them and restart the old one in target disk mode - hold down T when you restart....
