I know that this has been posted before but no one really awnsered the question. I just got an iSight today and I have got to say it looks awesome on top of my eMac. But I plugged it in and after about 4 hours it is really hot. Does anyone know why? I haven't left it on or anything. Thanks.

I imagine all of the eMac's heat comes out the top -- from all of the internal components, and the CRT -- and your metal iSight is just absorbing it?

The camera, by design will get hot. But it is also designed to manage heat itself, notice it is made out of perforated metal. I go to the Apple Stores and all of their iSights are hot as well.

Thanks

Thanks for your input peoples, actually on the eMac, the heat comes out more of the back end to bottom where the fan is, but thanks anyways.
