a few friends of mine want setup a conference call. However, one does not use a mac is it still possible to do this using another chat client and non-isight web camera. In addition, is it possible to use another webcam besides iSight to connect using video conferencing?

Thanks!

You can use a variety of USB webcams with Macs if you use the following driver:

MacCam

But I'm unsure what messaging/conference clients are compatible with it, or the Mac platform in general. The only one I know of is iChat. Of course many Windows clients support it including MSN and Skype. Not sure about Skype for Mac though.

Good luck!
