Hey all


what i want to do is this -

i want my isight cam to come on at scheduled times during the day along with my Mac and then to stream a live feed to the internet - for viewing on my PDA where ever i am in the world (Wi-Fi )


any ideas ?

Let me know if you get this working... it sounds like a neat idea!
 
I'm a fan of EvoCam. It works well, but I don't know about streaming video (it's been a while), althouggh you can program it to save clips to a server (yours or elsewhere) which you could then fetch. Might work better (fetching clips) than trying to view streamed video with a PDA.

Edit: it also has a "motion sensor" capability, where it triggers if it detects movement in the video feed. Nice for security purposes - and you can select where to look for motion (i.e., a boxed area by your door while ignoring the street in the background). Essentially, you draw boxes on the screen and can add filters/triggers (like motion sensing, image sharpening, etc) to those boxes, which allows for quite a bit of customization.
