iSight in chat rooms?

So i just got my MackBook Pro and i was in a chat room and i wanted to use my iSight but i cant figure out how to get it to work. I clicked the Turn on video in the room but it wouldnt do anything. Is there something special i need to do to get it to work in chat rooms and so forth?

Well actually it wont work in my iChat either.
Basicly it wont work in UserPlane chat rooms. Idk.
My friend has her own message board and we all go on at night and chat but the userplane wont let me cam.
