Hello fellow members. I just got my imac a week ago and was talking to my friend through ichat when I needed to show him something in another room. I switched to my macbook pro in order to do this and I noticed a huge drop in quality. I was just wondering whether anyone has ever noticed dramatic difference in quality between the isight on the imac vs a macbook?

They are? both are using wifi. I have a non-unibody macbook pro I wonder if the unibody's upgraded the camera?

I suppose it could be that the pixel density difference or the IPS screen. The colors seem much more vibrant on the imac.

I've positioned the MBP isight in the same position as the imac isight. I'm starting to think the difference may be the IPS screen.

I'm pretty sure that it's been the same since it was introduced.

you're pretty wrong.

my non-uni macbook pro has a VGA iSight. All newer macs have an iSight that's 1+ megapixels (1.3 or something).

That's why you've noticed a difference in quality.
