Today I was going to use my built in webcam using msn messenger on windows xp (on my macbook pro). When i went to start a video conversation it told me there was no webcam attached to my computer. When i searched to add a webcam it still did not come up.

I then switched to the Mac OS (Leopard) and tried to start photo booth. It started but when the screen came up it was black with an icon of a video camera with a line through it. Any ideas how/if I can fix this?

(I reset the PRAM already)

when i had this i had to get my entire screen replaced

anyway, press the apple menu, then about this mac, then more info
in the contents on the left, go down to usb
there should be a "USB High Speed Bus" with "Built-in iSight"
if not, take it to the apple store

This happened to me too, but on my iMac. And the iSight wasn't showing up in the more info section of "About This Mac." Just had to boot into safe mode and restart.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it didn't work. I guess i will be taking it into the apple store. Thanks again.
