some MBP says it has isight when you open the about mac thing. the 2011 MBP says it has facetime when you open the about mac thing. what is the difference?

They both have the webcam apple likes to call iSight. The last generation got one with a better resolution than what was used before, that's the only difference.

FaceTime is the name of a program made by Apple and available on the newer macs, it can be downloaded for older macs without a problem.
