If you already threw down 30 bones for a IS as I did as well.

Why would you want to add thickness and whatnot for ANOTHER 35 dollars when your 5G is already protected. I thought people bought the IS so they could protect and keep the thing super thin.

The IS does not protect the iPod from drops.
