No your not alone.
I think it was a complete waste of my money $40 to be exact.
It sits in a drawer back in it's box
I do like the look of the case on the iPhone but it has too many other problems to compensate for that.
 
Two hours in a hot water + soap had not effect on the smell...that's pretty horrible!

The only good part is the screen protector...
 
Mine never had a smell that I was aware of. I ordered the case the day they were available, been using it ever since. I only used the visor a few weeks and haven't touched it since.
 
I LOVE the smell of the iSkin cases. Mmmm fresh silicon.

Maybe I'm weird but I like things like that and the smell of a new Mac box/iPod box.
 
I guess you're not the only one, but I'm in the "don't notice any smell really" camp. The case is great...

What *color* did you get?
