iSmoothRun doing intervals - no pace alerts?

Did my first intervals. Loved it.
Had only AW, no phone with me and did configure audio cues for interval coaching and ghost Pacer.
Only got audio cues for ghost Pacer (e.g. "1 second behind") no audible or visible alerts to go faster/slower. What did I do wrong?
