ISO file (DVD) dont get "auto played"

Hello.

I have taken a backup of one DVD with the dd command in a terminal and it goes OK, but when I mount it, the DVD player dont start!
It seems that the ISO file dont get recognised as a DVD, but if I open the folder in the DVD player, it works without problems.

Is this normal behavior on mac?

The file is "ISO Disk Image", is that the right type?
