I am looking for recommendations on a quality mini displayport to dvi cable of 6 ft length (though 3 ft would also work).

One that will work reliably with current Macbook pros

I've had a number of cables/adaptors from Monoprice, never had any issues. Plus, you can buy 3 at that price compared to most anywhere else.

The concern with this cable is whether you can fit 2 side by side. Also the long solid displayport end seemd dangerously rigid.

What thinking a M/F extension and Displayport adapter from monoprice might be a better approach. Thoughts?

Funny because I just picked this one up a little over a week ago. Works great so far, no issues, and cheap! Free shipping if you have Prime

There are a good number of negative reviews. I was tempted as I have prime but just not sure...

Haven't used that particular cable, so I'm not sure. Their adaptors certainly do not have fat connectors (I have one), so that would definitely work if you wanted to go that route. Overall a more flexible setup too, in case you needed to connect to another DVI display at some point.
