Hi my uni allows for off site licenes of windows XP so thought I would try out bootcamp. Basically you fill in this form and then theres a machine u go onto and theres the iso, I followed the instructions and seem to have written the iso image onto a CD.

When I whack it into a machine at work (XP machine) all I get is a folder with the iso file and some anti virus folder that seems to have bene installed with it.

My question is can I use this disk as it is or do I need to do somethingw with this iso image to make it workable from a CD?

You can basically just burn a CD of it directly and proceed from there. I know Alcohol 120% and Nero are options on Windows -- your school might provide you another. Either Toast or the built-in Disk Utility should be able to burn it from a Mac.
