Im trying out an iphone 5 on tmobile and want to keep it prestine during the trial phase. If the reception is bad I will return it, so I dont want to pay too much in case I return the phone. Btw does Apple except returns of opened used cases?

Btw are Speck cases good or better than the cheaper $10 cases?

If you're looking for really cheap, check eBay. I occasionally buy thin cases for $2-3 with free shipping. Just buy from a US seller(assuming you're in the states) or it will take weeks to get to you.

I would say Speck cases are better than the majority of $10 cases. Their quality is sometimes called into question because the backs peel or they crack, but they have a 1 year warranty on all of their products which I've used on several occasions. They have excellent customer service, which I doubt a lot of those "$10 case" makers have.
