ISO: iPhone 8 Silicone Case that works with both Magsafe and Qi

Hi! My wife has an old iPhone 8 and I have a 14 Pro Max coming. I want to use a Magsafe mount in our car to mount/charge both phones. I bought this:

It says it should work to charge the iPhone 8 (which is only Qi). However, after receiving it, it not only doesn't charge with Qi on the magsafe Anker home charger I bought, it also seems to block Qi on the old Anker Qi charger stand we've been using.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a setup that will allow a Magsafe case to charge with Qi?

I have a Caudabe Sheath on my 13 Pro. I charge it using MagSafe every night and use it in a car mount also, it holds very securely. It will also charge on an older Belkin Qi charger I have in my office.

The 8 doesn't have the built-in magnets for the proper alignment, but you can use Apple's MagSafe charger with older phones that support wireless charging. Assuming the magnets are in the correct place on the 8's case, I don't see why Apple's charger wouldn't work...unless the case is too thick.

The 8 is listed as being compatible here. (My mom uses one for her XR.)

Oddly the case I bought (above) says it's for Magsafe and also charging with Qi but for some reason when attached with Magsafe it's not charging with Qi. And even without a case if I put it on the magsafe charger it won't charge (holding it up onto it). Setting it into an upright type Anker Qi charger, the case seems to block the charge even though the original Apple silicone case (no magsafe) didn't block it. It's all very maddening.

alright, so the Magsafe case works with Qi on the Spiegel car mount. I think my actual problem is Anker. Neither its magsafe combo stand nor the Qi upright resting stand work with this. My wife is just going to plug in her phone other than being in the car I guess. She doesn't seem to care that much.
