Remember that scene between Schroeder and Lucy in A Charlie Brown Christmas where she wants him to play Jingle Bells. He plays three variations, the last being a basic, sarcastic version (to which she replies, "THAT'S IT!!!")?

Imagine that scene in reverse, so to speak.
1. User uploads their basic MIDI performance [Schroeder pounds single-key Jingle Bells],
2. User selects a style of playing / performance [Lucy says "Play it like Beethoven], and
3. AI generates a preview of the improved performance [Schroeder plays it elegantly like Ludwig himself might have].

This isn't a request for an ad-hoc generative music.

Rather, the need is to refine, massage, even "translate" an existing MIDI performance for (a) a different take on the part or (b) need for improvement due to lacking finesse and dexterity and not getting the desired dynamics and/or structure.

I've searched the web, even used Grok to see if there was anything out there for MIDI in particular but not finding anything.

This would be analogous to AI tools that either clean up photographs and/or allow them to be converted to other artistic styles (sketch, cartoon, etc.).

Going back to Lucy and Schroeder, imagine had he started with that last bit (the single-pounded note version) and her saying things like "More like Oscar Peterson..." then "OK, now play it like Ray Charles..." and then "How about like Chopin (or Liszt or Sokolov, et. al.)."

And in our era, styles like Alicia Keys, Billy Joel, Norah Jones, Elton John, and countless others out there.

Just the general idea - not a complete library of every pianist, mind you (or any intent to claim their work in some nefarious way).

Just something to get alternative ideas from an existing performance OR to fix someone's unpolished playing, as captured in MIDI.

So.
Anyone know of an online tool or software for uploading or importing a MIDI piano or keyboard performance to refine, improve or even augment it, either in a general way or by applying styles from various genres of music or even known pianists?

Thanks.

I'm not aware of an existing tool that could do this. The thing is it would need a reference. The ways in which you could orchestrate a single-note melody line are almost endless.

Isn't that what I described above?
To clarify, it wouldn't necessarily be a single note melody. I gave the crude example of Lucy, above, as a basic premise.

Here's another example…
Me: Lackluster keyboardist, represented by little Tommy in this video.
AI: Represented by the concert pianist who comes up behind Tommy and begins playing counter Melody and harmonies along with him.
