Alright hopefully someone out there can help me.
So a quick recap of what I'm using. quad 2.5 ghz g5 mac running os 10.5.8.

All I am trying to do is transfer ISO disc image over to an external Usb Hard dive. Any time I attempt to drag the file over I receive an error that says " Sorry, the operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occurred. (Error code 0)

Any information would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance.

What format (file system) does the external HDD use then?

Either check via Get Info in Finder or Disk Utility.

It most likely uses FAT32:

FAT32
  • Read/Write FAT32 from both native Windows and native Mac OS X.
  • No individual file larger than 4GB.
NTFS
HFS
  • Read/Write HFS from native Mac OS X
  • To Read/Write HFS from Windows, Install MacDrive
  • To Read HFS (but not Write) from Windows, Install HFSExplorer

Sorry I knew there was a piece of info i forgot. alright. The drive is formatted to Fat32 I sort of need the drive to stay Fat 32 because when i'm finished this drive will be used for strictly backing up my Wii games. And then being connected to the wii. Which the Wii can only see Fat 32
