Hi everyone,

I just bought a Canon Pixma ip4600 from Staples for its direct DVD printing (I'm in Canada - The CDN version has DVD label features enabled). Upon using the software included, it did not print on the disc fully, mainly the outer edge and the hub (the DVD-R's I bought have printable hubs, so it has a super small inner circle).

So I downloaded a photoshop template with similar measurements to my printable dvd so that I could cover the whole disc. It's all good and stuff, cept I can't seem to get it to align. I've gone through 20 dvd's already and have gotten satisfactory results with getting it to print on the dvd (its always off by a tiny bit on the outside).

Then I realized that there were "tray" templates for pixma printers. Doh! Why didn't I just look for a Tray template to begin with??? Unfortunately... The ip4600 is fairly new and no one has posted the Tray G template for DVD printing online...

I know someone out there has gotta be using a Photoshop template for their ip4600 DVD prints instead of the stock "CD-LABEL" app bundled with the printer...

Anyways, I've searched for the past day (+6 hours searching Google... and experimenting) and nothing seems to be aligned... Can someone please help me with a Tray G Template? Pretty please....

Thanks in advance.

oh man come on! there's gotta be a mac lover out there that has the tray G template!!! xD

Tray G template

I just purchased the IP 4600 and have noticed the frustration of many owners over this issue as I search the internet for info about my new printer.

I came across a listing titled, "Tray G template for dvd/cd printer canon iP4600."

Don't know if this will be helpful but here is the link along with the info.

hi,

I have got a cd/dvd printer Canon iP4600 and when I use its software the maximum limit to lower the inner and outer circle is up to +10mm and -10mm. when I print on a dvd, the inner circle remains white.

I have got Nero Express 7, can I use this programm to print on dvds? My tray is tray G, how can I find its template? can I use the same steps like those given for the canon pixma iP4000 even though he has tray B?

Thanks for your help in advance, hope I solve this problem

Inner radius: 1,1 cm

Position:
X: 0,65 cm
Y: 9,1 cm

disk printing

Hi all,
I recently bought a Canon MG5250. It came with a supplied disk printing software and this works perfectly well for disk printing. I got some templates for photoshop for the tray G, all did not work, finally I just used the supplied software and this work well.
