I downloaded windows 7 ISO to put on my macbook. I put it onto virtual box and the product key doesn't work because ISO only works if you have a previous windows system. Is there anything I can do? I called them, and they said I'm screwed and, naturally, didn't help. Thanks!

Is it only an upgrade version of windows without anything to upgrade from, is that it? You need a full version of the operating system.

Plenty of ways to legally attain a windows 7 iso. Dont assume the worst.

Do you have an old XP copy? Install it first then install windows 7. As long as the system detects XP it will still allow you to wipe the HDD and install Windows 7 clean.
