for all of us vouching for an iOS remedy to traditional file systems, we need a new term that doesnt make everyone go "ooh, this is postpc device, what are you talking about file system", "we dont want hierachies of things, it confuses us", etc..

we need an iSpotlight (yeah, everyone can come up with fancier names, not me) that lets us download/upload files into that folder. apps that support those files can open that those files up. when you save, you save into that folder or overwrite those files. the system as it is creates duplicates because you open one file up in an app, make changes, save it, then you've got to upload it somewhere or email it, open it up in another app etc.. what should be just 1 simple step ends up requiring 3 or more steps

notifications, i'm ok with because jailbreak has a solution for it (having an apple solution would be good, dont get me wrong) but this, i really hope will be part of iOS 5's update

or maybe someone can create a feature for jailbroken iPads/iPhones for all apps to be able to access a shared directory on the device (edits, uploads, downloads). just one folder that smartly shows compatible files to the app that opens it. i'll pay $10 for that
