iPhone Issue: Apps asking for permission to access Contacts, Photos and Camera repeatedly

I am on 9.0.2 on my T-Mobile 64GB iP6s+ Silver. I got it on launch day and it was fine until couple of days ago, but when I first wake up in the morning and take it out from the charger, I have a message saying Whatsapp wants to access my Contacts, Google Photos wants to access my Photos etc. It looks like my previous selections for access to Contacts, Photos and Camera seems to be getting lost. Those apps are not even showing under those sections in Privacy - as if I've never launched those apps before.

Anyone else having this issue?
