Issue copying iTunes over to another drive

So I followed the direction on preferences in iTunes choose my new location then went to organize library instead of copying to my new hdd it copy's to the music folder why?

Have you followed these directions from Apple?

yes I did

I'm not sure what the issue is then. I recommend running over the process a second time.

i did three times even with different hard drives reformatted too my main internal is now decreasing in size from 50gb to 17gb and counting

I'm not sure what else to say. Hopefully another person may come along and have a better idea.
