issue import mbox mail into mac mail

hi,
i have my previous email using thunderbird and i know i can import directly either using mbox or directly from the import features from mac mail.

however, i experience only importing limited emails whereby i have 4000+ emails but only imported 600 emails.

anyone experience something similar?

btw, im newbie here. cheers.
