I just bought a new Macbook Pro about a month ago (Sept 1st 2018) and noticed I'm having an issue with opening jpegs. I can view jpegs that I create and manipulate just fine, but when I am searching a folder that houses jpegs created by others, the preview wheel keeps spinning.
If I try to open with Photoshop I get this message below.
"Could not complete your request because a JPEG marker segment length is too short (the file may be truncated or incomplete)."
If I try to open with preview I get this message:
"The file “preview.jpg” could not be opened.
It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn’t recognize."
I've tried removing the com.apple.finder.plist file and changing which program is the default for opening images. I feel like this must be a setting issue since I can open and view jpegs that I manipulate just fine. Any ideas?
