Issue to install Itunes

Hi

I just installed iTunes 12.8.3.1 on High Sierra



I have this message:



“Itunes cannot read content from the iPad.



Go to the “summary” tab of the iPad preferences and click on “restore” to restore the original settings of this iPad”



When I click "restore" I have this other message:



“Are you sure you want to restore your iPad to factory settings?



All your media content and other data will be erased”



Am I really going to lose all my music tracks?

Can't prevent it ?
