Hi. I recently moved to a new student accommodation and the uni uses StudentCom a the internet provider. I've noticed very slow wifi connection on my 13" 2016 MacBook Pro lately, so slow it often cannot even play youtube on low resolution.

At first I thought perhaps my new housemate was hogging the internet, but the internet speed appears fine on my tablet and phone. What further baffled me is when I connect my MacBook Pro to my phone's 4G the speed then goes up again.

So in the end it left me with two puzzling questions:
1. If my housemate is slowing down the internet, how come I have good internet connection on my other devices?
2. If it was not due to my housemate, and potentially the machine is malfunctioning, what could cause the slow wifi-connection, but fast internet its connected to my phone's 4G?

I'm at my wits end, perhaps someone has some ideas? Thank you!
