Issue with Contacts - I'm in France but all contacts in US

I just received my first iMac today. When setting up the computer, I told it that I reside in France (because I do) but ALL of my contacts are in the US. When I imported my contacts from my PC (outlook), they are set up in my contacts in the French format (includes NO state).

Is there a way I can change the layout of the contacts so that it will allow me to enter a state?
