Issue with iChat

I'm finding that every time I use iChat, it starts well, and then mid-chat the sound goes out. The person on the other end can hear me and see me, and I can see the person on the other end, but I can't hear the person on the other end. If I restart iChat, it starts working fully again, but then after a period of time, the same thing happens.
