so a friend of mine uses the - headphone jack to cassette player method in her car. When she does it, sound only comes out of the front left speaker in the car... When i plug in my phone, ipod, or her ipod, everything works fine, and plays through all of the speakers.

i checked the equalizer, and any other sound settings I could find in the phone, but have had no luck. its more of a nuisance then anything. Only thing i could think of is that its a hardware issue.

thanks for any help

Try clearing dirt out of the headphone jack with a paper clip or similar sometimes some dirt can be blocking the connection.
