Hello all. I just purchased a 2011 MBA 13" after I sold my 2009 MBP, the MBP used to work perfectly with an IOGEAR 2-port USB VGA KVM switch model #GCS632U with the MBA the keyboard and mouse will work, but I do not get any video output, and the MBA does not even recognize that an external monitor is hooked up. I am switching between a PC and Mac, here is what I have tried so far:

1. Monitor only (Viewsonic 17") without switch works fine.

2. If I start with only the monitor hooked up, then physically swap the VGA cables (i.e. reroute through the KVM) the switch works fine. think of this as hotswapping the monitor and KVM switch. I think the MBA still thinks its connected to the same monitor since I do not unplug the MDP cable.

3. Tried swapping ports between PC and MAC, but no difference.

I have an OEM MDP to VGA adapter.

Anybody else experiencing any issues or have any suggestions?

I guess this post is getting pretty old...has anyone gotten a VGA KVM to work with their new MBA running Lion?

Just an update for those who care....

I purchased a non-oem MDP to VGA adapter and it now works fine. Not sure why.
