I have been experiencing an issue with locking my computer screen ever since updating to 10.6.3. Normally, when I choose to lock my screen through the Keychain Access menu bar item, the password prompt will be displayed over a black background. However, since the 10.6.3 update, sometimes when I choose to lock the screen, the password prompt will simply be displayed over my actual desktop, and the open windows, menu bar, and the dock all remain visible.

I updated to 10.6.3 using the combo update package, and I have tried repairing permissions and resetting the PRAM and SMC to no avail. Console displays this error message:

loginwindow[38]: ERROR | -[LWScreenLock(Private) screenIsLockedTimeExpired:] | Error: _startLockTime = 0

I have sent a bug report regarding this to Apple. Has anyone else experienced this, or know any way to fix it?
