Hey everyone,
Sooo, I'm getting really frustrated. My fiancee bought be a SteelSeries Rival 700 as part of a Christmas present. And the scroll wheel had issues on our Mac. Whenever I'd scroll notch by notch slowly it wouldn't affect the scroll bar. I'd have to move my scroll wheel incredibly fast to get it to move. So, I tried various things, and to no avail. Thus, I returned it.
Next, I purchased the Logitech G502. Same issue. I installed SteerMouse. Fixed the scroll issue. I hop on League of Legends, and now when I move the mouse with any sort of increased acceleration it literally JUMPS to the other side of the screen forcing the camera to move. I've also tried it with USB Overdrive and the default software/firmware. And I come across one of three issues: 1) The scroll wheel has the aforementioned issue. 2) The cursor jumps to the other side of the screen. 3) The cursor will back track, jump, and move wildly (with the default firmware and USB Overdrive).
Everything is up-to-date. I run OS Sierra 10.12.1. I've tried SteerMouse, USB Overdrive, default firmware, no firmware, different USB ports (directly connected to the mac), unplugging, replugging, default settings, restarting the Mac, so on and so forth, everything that I've read to do from Mac and Logitech troubleshooting. Is there any solution to this or am I just better off returning the mouse and sticking with Mac products (note that the Mac Magic Mouse does not have ANY of these issues. I solely upgraded because I wanted a larger and heavier mouse with more buttons/settings, etc).
