1st time IPhone user...Just switched from Android to IPhone. I have seen similar threads on this forum, but haven't seen one specifically related to Spectrum/Charter email issues. So, after adding the account to the IOS mail app, there is not an option for selecting Push for the Charter account...Fetch only. So, there is sometimes quite a delay in receiving email...I have set the Fetch frequency to 15 minutes, but that doesn't always seem to work. Is there a way to set this account to Push? I have spent countless hours on the phone with both Verizon and Apple, but no one seems to know how to solve the issue. I have tried numerous email apps, and only one, Eidison, seems to send the emails through immediately. I like the Outlook app for organizing, composing, etc..., but it seemed to be the worst performer for delivering emails. For most of these apps, emails will only come through when I open the app...then all of the emails since the last time it was open come through at once. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

In my opinion, the default email app stinks, especially if you depend on it for businesses.

I think your Charter/Spectrum account needs to support push in order for that to work properly. And if it does, the default mail app doesn't perform all that well. It used to, but over the last few versions of iOS it has gone down hill.

I am one who depends on "push" email for work. And I ended up switching to the Outlook app. It took some getting used to, but now I really like it.

Try Edison Mail
I installed Edison...great for receiving emails and quick notifications...can't get it to send an email...gets stuck in outbox then eventually get a message:
There was an error that prevented your message from being sent.
A stable connection to the server could not be established.

Looks like I may have just stumbled across a solution...changed the SMTP security from STARTTLS to SSL, like the incoming and it seems to be working...keeping my fingers crossed!

Don't see an option in the Edison app to select push or fetch...had the IOS mail app set to 15 minute fetch because it would not push. That's what I initially liked about Edison is that my phone got emails at the same time as my PC, sometimes even a second or two ahead of the PC. My issue was with Send...now both IMAP and STML are set to SSL. We'll see if this is a permanent solution.

I guess the Edison app is like the Outlook app in that the email is actually pushed to their servers and then to your device. In other words, they are accessing your email (and doing whatever you agreed to when you signed up) and then sending it to you.
