When Mojave was released on Monday, I decided to install a fresh copy on my 13" 2018 MacBook Pro. I got it installed without issue, as far as the OS goes. This was a clean install..I formatted the internal SSD as part of the install.

When I logged into iCloud, I expected my Messages history would be downloaded automatically due to Messages in iCloud, which I do use, and had enabled on the fresh Mohave install. It said it was downloading, but nothing ever downloaded. Tried the "Sync Now" a bunch of times..nothing. Turned off Messages in iCloud, then re-enabled..nothing. Setup another test user account, logged in to iCloud, turned that feature on, said it was downloading messages...then nothing. Logged out of iCloud, then back in again...nothing. The machine has been plugged in for 24 hours since the installation -- plenty of time to have this work.

I also just clean installed iOS 12 on an iPhone X, and that downloaded all my messages without issue.

Starting to wonder if this is something unique to MacOS, and specifically Mojave. I am wondering if anyone has tried a clean install of Mojave, and if Messages in iCloud is being used, did it work for anyone, etc.

Any input?

Thanks

Mark
