I recently upgraded my Office 2013 for Windows to Office 365/2019 so that I could use it on both Windows 10 and Mac High Sierra.

I have an issue with Word.

When I open an Avery Label template - some blank, some with previous addresses in place - in Word in Windows 10 (running on my iMac using Bootcamp) the mouse pointer defaults to the text pointer (the one that looks like a capital I) so I can add or change text.

When I open the same file on my iMac running High Sierra, the mouse pointer - whether it is a new blank document or one with addresses there - the mouse pointer is the one with the four arrowheads (the one that would be used to move or adjust the placement of boxes in a table). No matter how I try - or what I click - I can't get the pointer to revert to the text (capital I) pointer.

This does not happen in any other Word document - only the ones for Avery labels and only when I am running Office 365 on the Mac.

Any suggestions?

I have tried with several label pages set up for various mailing addresses and downloaded a new template from Avery (their creation date was 2017) and the same thing happens in all files.

Thanks,

Steve
