I have done some searching to see if this was a common issue, but couldn't find anything. Perhaps I'm just not searching on the right words.
I recently got a MacBook Pro 15" (2017) and noticed that the slider/time into a song on the Now Playing widget doesn't always jive with what iTunes displays. It can be off by a few seconds or minutes. Sometimes it will just start counting at 0:00 when the widget/notification center is opened. So for example, iTunes could be showing that I'm 3:10 into a song (correct), but the Now Playing widget shows that I'm 0:07 into the same song (incorrect).
The slider on the touch bar exhibits similar issues as well. The slider is always correct when iTunes is the active/focused application (which displays the iTunes controls); but isn't always correct when iTunes is in the background and not focused (which I believe then uses the Now Playing controls).
Does anyone else have the same issue? Is there anything that can be done to fix this?
