iPod touch Issue with radio app & buffering, any suggestions

I have a 4 gen touch and use an app at work on wi-fi called Iheart radio. That app worked flawlessly for several months. Suddenly the app began to continuously revert to buffering, resulting obviously in the music cutting in and out. I verified that it is not the app, it works perfect on my home wi-fi & I have tried another streaming radio app at work with the same results.

I know this may not necessarily be an ipod issue, but thought I would ask to see if anyone has any suggestions. The only possible change that I know of since the app stopped working my workplace upgraded the wi-fi. However, if anything it seems that it should work better.

Your workplace network could also be restricting streaming radio purposely to stop people from using it. At my workplace, for example, streaming works for a song or two then stops. When you refresh the page, it says "we have detected that this is a streaming audio site, you can use it but we'll throttle it so good luck" and lets you through again, but only for a few songs before it again gets cut off.

That is a great theory and I am sure many workplaces would implement that type of restriction. However, I work on a University campus where students are provided a on-campus housing, thus I do not believe that is the issue. Thanks for your thoughts!
