issue with setting mac os as vpn server

i have enabled vpn server option in mac os with iVPN application. clients can connect and access the network and also lan users can access the internet via the vpn.
but when the mac os itself connects to a vpn server on internet users lose internet connectivity but the mac os has no issue.
how can i fix this?

Is your VPN server behind a NAT router with port forwarding? If so then you might want to try using PPTP for your inbound VPNs and L2TP for your outbound VPN, or vice versa.

since i have tested with a windows client in the same LAN i dont see how that could be the reason.
also im setting a mac os 10.5.8 the L2TP is not an option and the vpn service used on internet is also PP2P.
could that still be the reason?
