I have an iPhone 6s running on the latest iOS firmware.
For the longest time, when I would ask Siri...
- Hey Siri, text <Name>
- Siri would respond with... What would you like to say to <Name>?
- I would dictate my message and Siri would send the text without issue
Just recently, Siri has been acting up and I can't seem to get this resolved. Here are the issues...
- Hey Siri, text <Name>
- She now responds with... "These are the phone numbers and email addresses for contacts named <Name>. Which one should I use?" ***She pronounces the name correctly at this point***
- I then select the number associated with that contact.
- She then replies... "What would you like to say to <Name>?" ***She pronounces the name INCORRECTLY at this point, even though she pronounced the name correctly at the start of this process***
- I then dictate my message and Siri sends it without issue
So there are a couple of issues here.
1) She now always asks... "These are the phone numbers and email addresses for contacts named <Name>. Which one should I use?" Even though I constantly direct Siri to the same iPhone number.
2) She pronounces the name incorrectly on the 2nd step where she asks "What would you like to say to <Name>?" Please note that I have gone through the "Siri, that's not how you pronounce that name" exercise with Siri various times and Siri still gets it wrong during this step.
I have other idevices (iPads and iPhones) that don't have these Siri issues. It's only my iPhone that has recently started to act up this way.
Any suggestions on how to resolve these 2 issues would be greatly appreciated.
