I have a MacBook Pro, that I got back in 2011. It seems that the text to speech shortcut is stuck o Shift+Z. As a matter of fact the only way that I could have a capital Z was to use the caps lock button, I cannot hold down shift and z to get a capital Z.

I tried chaining the shortcut, by going to:
System Preference > Dictation & Speech > Text to Speech > Change Key

So I changed it to Command + § and yet even though I can use that short cut to access text to speech, it is still also working off shift + z. I've even tried doing other shortcuts, but it makes no difference

I am using OSX Mavericks if thats important at all
