I just got a 4TB Gen4 NVME I am having some trouble getting to reliably mount via thunderbolt on my 2020 MBP (4 port model). Using a TEKQ Cube Thunderbolt 3 enclosure.

The drive shows up under system information, but doesn't shot up at all in disk utility. What is odd was I was able to put it in my classic MP 5,1 via PCIe card, copied over 2TB of data (ran for about 5 hours), was able to then put it in the TEKQ and it mounted right up. Not long after that I got the eject before removal warning and since then I couldn't get it to remount. Moved it over to a 10GBs USB3 enclosure, but it still didnt mount on the MacBook. But I can connect the USB3 enclosure to the MacPro and it mounts right away.

I have rebooted several times, clear PRAM, but doesn't nothing I have done has gotten it to mount on the MacBook (USB3 or Thunderbolt).

Anyone have any thoughts?

turned out to be a compatibility issue. Returned that thunderbolt enclosure and got an Orico.
