Here is my setup,
Im on a macbook air REV.b
I have installed windows xp on parallels 6.
I installed it onto my bootcamp partition with the understanding that
with a bit of tweaking and some driver installs, i could boot that
install of windows as a dual booted system.

I have done the windows updates, and i also plugged in my snowleopard disc
to install drivers from the drivers folder and I went through and installed every
thing i could from the drivers..
i rebooted and i get the blinking underscore in the top left corner.

Im not sure of the best way to do this, but i could use some help, either point me to another thread that has adressed this, or a website with a foolproof guide... anything would help.. my girlfiend is feeling alienated with me spending every waking hour trying guide after guide and trick after trick to get this working...

i do not have my xp disc, i only have the image file.

i guess it would be possible to use a program like toast or something to burn that image to a disc and have it be bootable and just install straight to bootcamp?

first priority is to install xp on bootcamp without using a windows disc.

Always set up Boot Camp before the VM solution you are trying to share that install with.

Check out the "install windows from USB" and "install windows without super drive" for an approach that uses Parallels to copy the files onto the partition, prepares it for boot and then completes the Boot Camp install normally.

Once that's working go back and launch your Boot Camp in parallels.
