So I've noticed this since I got my 4th Gen iPod Touch. When I got it I restored my back up to the new device. Now when I go to our local mall there is tons of WiFi spots with about 4 free ones just in one general area. When I search I can locate at least 4 of them all with 2 or 3 signal strength. When I select one it takes forever for it to appear on the top left corner of the iPod screen then when it does finally appear when I try to go online it just says something about being unable to connect to the Internet or something like that.

The weird thing is I have two other devices with me that I tried, a 3rd Gen on 3.X firmware and a 1st Gen also on 3.X firmware. Both of those devices connect just fine but the 4th Gen on 4.X firmware won't. I have no idea if there is something that was added in the update that is causing conflict or what the deal is. I tried forgetting the networks and restarting and still nothing.

I'm really not sure what is going on. BTW, there is one network that I was able to connect to successfully but I'm at a lose as to why I can't connect to the other free WiFi locations. :(
