Issues running Dell U3014 monitor on Mac Book Pro

Everything is perfect except I get this flicker in the monitor every 30 seconds. Its like the monitor is adjusting the brightness and contrast on its own. Constantly back and forth. Especially when I run youtube videos. I have a Mac Book Pro 15" Retina 2880 X 1800 mid 2012, 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Graphics nvidia GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB, OS X 10.8.4. Running mini display port straight into DP in on Dell monitor 2560 x 1600. Do I need to calibrate or adjust some configuration with the setup in order to stop this flickering?
